From Bollington to White Nancy and around.

Even though we have lived in Macclesfield for more than 30 years the ramblers take you past things you did not know were there. Today 17 off us met up by the viaduct in Bollington.

We set off along the path and then down and over the stream.

Next we went up and over the canal. We admired the gardens of the houses backing onto the canal with their great display of daffodils.

009

We took a path up to the quarry. It was steps all the way up. Apparently a narrow gauge railway used to run here to take the stone down from the quarry.

The quarries are still worked. There is now a new path up the side of the quarry which gives you good views into it.

020

We then walked along the ridge to White Nancy, where we took our break.

032

The views out across Macclesfield, Bollington and Rainow as well as the countryside are always good.

We then walked parallel with the ridge towards Ingersley Vale.

052

The new born lambs were out in the fields.
