It was one of those cold but really clear winter days with snow on the hills.

27 of us set off from Bollington. It was great out but this cat had found its place in the sun and was happy just to watch us walk by.

The view through the arch never disappoints but today the snow tipped hills and blue sky was extra special.

We headed across the fields towards the snowline.

The clear blue sky made everything a delight.

The running water looked refreshing…

…and White Nancy looked splendid…

…and at home surrounded by white.

Above the snowline it was particularly beautiful.

Obviously many others had previously enjoyed the views as the paths were clear.

A few fluffy clouds lazily sauntered across the sky…

…as we stopped for our break…

before heading back towards Bollington…

..one last time across snow decked hills and leaving that magical morning behind us.
