On 11th April 2016, we met in the National Trust car park by the Wizard on Alderley Edge.
We set off along the edge, heading for Alderley Edge.
There was no sign of budding on the trees here.
You got a good view over the Cheshire Plain, even on a cloudy day like this.
We followed the path down the edge……
….and out of the park. Just as you exit the park there are some nice houses on the left.
It must be sheltered here as some of the plants are already in bloom.
There was a row of….
Magnolia, and Flowering Cherry.
We crossed the main road and headed down a small road passing the fish and chip shop on our right. We eventually turned left in front of a tomato farm.
There were row after row of green houses. Later I was to learn this farm supplies Waitrose and many other supermarkets.
The lambs were friendly around here….
…as we made our way up to Nether Alderley church.
We took our break in the church yard……the church looked splendid close up.
We made our way back back passing picturesque cottages….
…and along the road passing Nether Alderley Mill…
..which displayed its opening times.
Before taking the long path back up the edge.
and last but not least, seeing the alpaca’s which lived there!
