It was one of those Monday morning when it was great to get out. Yesterday it poured down but today the weather was great for getting out in the countryside, even if it was a bit muddy under foot in places. The slippery conditions caused a couple of us to have unscheduled sit-downs!
Twenty three of us set off from the lay-by beside Ridgegate Reservoir and followed the Gritstone trail up to the Hanging Gate pub.
A little further along you got some terrific views over Ridgegate and Trentabank Reservoirs. We headed back through Macclesfield Forrest.
Sorry about the straight line portion of the route. I paused the app for our drinks break and forgot to restart it when we set off!
